Frieze Art Fair 2010 – Review

London’s Regent Park in October is famous for the Frieze art fair. The publisher’s of Frieze magazine stage this art annual fair and if you were to visit, you would have seen many paintings, sculptures, various types of art and more which are quite impressive and inspiring to many would-be artists.

Many organizations sponsor this fair and although the sales figures are not published it is said to have been quite successful. It was reported that an estimated 60,000 people visited this great event from the day of its opening which was the 14th October to the 17th of October, its last day.

The art fair consisted of 173 top contemporary art galleries representing 29 countries, from as far as New Zealand. Apart from this there were nine specially commissioned projects as well as the Cartier Award and much more. It was something all art lovers should have taken the most of. If they did not, they definitely should consider the Frieze art fair which will be held hopefully, once again in 2011.

There were a myriad of art and other projects which were mind boggling to begin with. Some were extraordinary while others were extremely mediocre like some office furniture London. Apart from the paintings and sculptures, the guest list included Gywneth Paltrow, Lily Allen and many more famous artists. However, the reviews for this fair were mixed. While some were awed by the productions set up, others were disappointed.

The Frieze Art Fair is very different from any other art fair. Any person who wishes to be amazed and entertained is encouraged to visit and make use of the entertainment as well as everything else provided.
